We decided it was time to warm up after our chilly walk through Garden of the Gods, so we headed to a little town west of Colorado Springs called Manitou Springs. Liz claimed it was a "hippie town" which seemed right up our touristy alley. It's also the access point to the Manitou Incline, a near vertical hike gaining 2,000 feet in a mile up old rail road ties. Liz does the Incline on a regular basis because she's hard core like that. (She always has been a tough cookie & I love that about her). Check this out. Can you say intense? Liz warmed up with some tea at her favorite spice shop & then we window shopped for awhile. Here are some shots from our lazy afternoon in Manitou...
I'm off to Florida in the a.m.! Be back Sunday to wrap up with some photos from Denver (our last day in Colorado)!
